That Dream About Being Free

That dream about being free
of stress, obligations, fake goals
and be your own master, living life your way

That little cute farmhouse
with a low white fence around
and pigs, sheep, cows, chicken

That wonderful dream
coming true!
You are going there, to your own little place

And first, you'll paint it
and repair it, and expand it
because it is not your dream, yet

Then a storm comes along
ruining half of the neighborhood
and most of your house

Then, you'll get stuck in the mud
as there are no roads and nobody cares
if you are without food and electricity

And then, the animals
that arrive along the way
needing food and care, taking time

That little cute farmhouse
the dream you now live
with its stress, obligations, fake goals

Oh, how you long for a life
with known problems, familiar challenges
which costs you 9 to 5 but frees your nights and mornings

That little cute worker's life
a flat in the city, sleeping long in the weekends
going for a walk when you want
